FAQs

How do I schedule my first appointment?

Ready to get started? Reach out to our team directly:

Call: (303) 999-3877
Text: (312) 847-1831
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM MT

Our front desk team will answer your questions, check your insurance, and find a time that works for you. Most new patients can be seen within 2–4 weeks. If you have questions before calling, we’re here to help.

Where are you located, and where will my appointments take place?

All New Patient consultations and follow-up visits are conducted virtually via secure video conferencing. This means you can access care from home—no matter where you are in Colorado.

We have one physical Colorado location for specialized services and in-person procedures:

  • Englewood: 12770 Lynnfield Dr, Englewood, CO 80112

Our team will always guide you through what to expect, including which visits are virtual and which services (if any) may require an in-person visit or procedure at our Englewood location.

What insurance do you accept?

We are in-network with many major Colorado carriers, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Cigna, First Health, PHCS, and UnitedHealthcare. We’re actively expanding our in-network coverage.

See our Insurance Coverage page for the most current list.

Your plan may not be listed, but that doesn’t mean we can’t work with it. Call (303) 999-3877 and our team will verify your benefits, discuss your coverage, and let you know if a referral is needed. We can also connect you with a financial counselor to discuss out-of-pocket costs.

What is a Care Advocate, and how will they support me?

Your Care Advocate is your dedicated point of contact throughout your fertility journey. At Onto Health, we believe you shouldn’t have to navigate this alone.

Your Care Advocate will:

  • Know your story. They’ll understand your goals, concerns, and preferences so every interaction feels personalized.
  • Coordinate your care. They’ll schedule appointments, follow up on test results, answer questions between visits, and keep everything organized.
  • Be your guide. Whether you’re preparing for your first appointment or moving through a cycle, they’re there to explain what’s happening and what comes next.
  • Support your whole journey. From your first question to the end of treatment, your Care Advocate is your consistent, compassionate partner.

You’ll meet your Care Advocate at your first appointment, and they’ll be your main point of contact as you move forward.

Who will be part of my care team?

Your care is led by reproductive specialists, nurses, embryologists, and a dedicated Care Advocate—your constant point of contact throughout your journey.

Meet our full team at Onto Health’s About Us page. Dr. Roohi Jeelani leads our clinical team, supported by nurse practitioners Staci Gorson, Rachael Elliot and other advanced clinicians. Our Colorado lab is led by senior embryologist Karla Waggener and her team of specialists.

Your Care Advocate—like Noelle Lawrence in Colorado—is your dedicated partner. They know your story, coordinate your appointments, answer questions between visits, and guide you through every step. This consistency makes all the difference.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

A referral is not required for most patients. However, some insurance plans do require one to cover fertility services.

When you call to schedule, our team will verify your insurance and let you know if a referral is needed. If it is, we can guide you through the process or help facilitate it with your primary care provider.

What should I expect for my first appointment?

Your first appointment is a virtual consultation designed to get to know you and understand your fertility journey.

During this video visit, you’ll:

  • Review your health history — We’ll talk through your medical background, any previous fertility testing, and current health.
  • Discuss your goals — Tell us what’s most important to you and what success looks like in your situation.
  • Meet your Care Advocate — You’ll be introduced to your dedicated Care Advocate, who will guide you through every step moving forward.
  • Learn about next steps — Your care team will outline any recommended evaluations, testing, or monitoring, and explain what to expect.
  • Ask questions — There will be plenty of time for your questions, and our team will ensure you leave with a clear understanding of your personalized path forward.

Most first appointments take about 30 minutes with the provider and you will stay on with your Care Advocate afterwards to complete your next steps. You’ll leave with clarity, a plan, and knowing you’re not alone in this.

What should I bring or prepare for my first appointment?

Your Care Advocate will reach out in advance to introduce themselves and help ensure everything is ready for your virtual visit.

Before your Care Advocate contacts you, please have ready:

  • Insurance card — We’ll verify coverage and discuss your benefits.
  • Photo ID — You’ll need this for verification.
  • Medical records — Any previous fertility testing, ultrasounds, or lab work (even from other providers). You can share these digitally or discuss them during the visit.

What your Care Advocate will confirm with you:

  • Your medical records are on file
  • Your list of current medications and supplements
  • Any questions you’d like to discuss
  • A quiet, comfortable space for your video appointment

Before your appointment:

You’ll receive your secure video appointment link 24 hours prior to your visit. Make sure you’re in a private, comfortable spot for the call, and test your internet connection if needed.

Don’t worry if you’re missing anything—your Care Advocate and team are here to help you gather what you need. The goal is to make sure your care team has the information they need to give you the best guidance.

How much does fertility care cost, and do you offer payment plans?

Costs vary based on your treatment type, insurance coverage, and individualized needs. We’ve provided transparent self-pay pricing on our Pricing page, which includes:

  • Onto Clarity Program: $99 (introductory fertility check-in)
  • New Patient Consultation: $300
  • IUI, Egg Freezing, IVF & FET packages with Colorado-specific pricing
  • Financing options through PatientFi, Gaia, Egg Fund, and CapexMD

Before treatment begins, our team will verify your insurance coverage, discuss your personalized treatment plan, and review exact costs with you—no surprises.

Questions about your specific plan? Call (303) 999-3877. Our team can verify benefits and connect you with a financial counselor.

What happens after my first appointment?

After your first visit, your Care Advocate takes the lead in coordinating your next steps.

Depending on your situation, this may include:

  • Scheduling testing or imaging — Baseline ultrasounds, lab work, or other diagnostics to understand your fertility picture.
  • Specialist consultations — If needed, meeting with other members of your care team (like an embryologist or nurse practitioner).
  • Building your personalized care plan — Once testing is complete, your doctor will outline a treatment plan tailored to your goals and diagnosis.
  • Preparation for treatment — If moving forward with a cycle (IUI, IVF, etc.), your team will walk you through medication protocols, monitoring schedules, and what to expect.

Your Care Advocate will keep you informed at every stage, answer questions, and ensure you’re prepared and supported. You won’t be left wondering what comes next.
